211Live.org is an exciting partnership between First Call for Help at The United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties and One Voice for Volusia. During the Community Agenda process of 2005, over 150 citizen volunteers identified the need for a comprehensive information and referral system to connect citizens to information about local services. First Call for Help has maintained a directory of community services for over 30 years, but the resource was limited to an annual publication and their 2-1-1 information line.
In response to the need identified in the 2006 Community Agenda Snapshot report, One Voice for Volusia sought grant funds to transform the existing First Call for Help directory into this dynamic, interactive online website of community services. The United Way and One Voice for Volusia are proud to present this new resource to the community!
Volusia-Flagler 2-1-1
Volusia-Flagler 2-1-1 is an easy to remember access number for getting information about our community resources, whether you are in need of services, or looking to volunteer at an area agency. It is an enhancement and natural evolution of First Call For Help?s services, bringing them up to national standards for service delivery. Like 9-1-1 connects you to emergency services, 2-1-1 is the access number to talk to an Information Specialist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you have a problem that you cannot solve yourself, 2-1-1 Specialists can assess your need and help you prioritize them, and then search the directory of community services data to find any appropriate services as available.
About First Call for Help
For over 30 years, The United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties, has managed First Call for Help, an information and referral service that maintains a directory of community services and programs in Volusia and Flagler Counties , and telephone access to that information. This directory is also the foundation of the 2-1-1 information line supported by United Way.

One Voice is a coalition that connects non-profit, governmental and community-based organizations along with local businesses to promote system & community improvements for the benefit of youth and families in Volusia County.
